Fíorchaoin fáilte go Scoil Mhuire, Ceann Toirc, Contae Chorcaí.
We are a co-educational secondary school with a long and proud tradition of serving the educational needs of our community in the north Cork area. In Scoil Mhuire, we aim to provide for the holistic development of each and every student entrusted to our care and we strive to educate each young person to reach his/her potential and enable him/her to be the best s/he can be.
The report from a Department of Education and Skills (DES) Whole School Evaluation described the school thus ‘ The atmosphere of the school is evidence of a welcoming, supportive, open sense of community that is conducive to learning in the broadest sense and is noted in the courtesy and confidence of the students and the rapport between them and their teachers’.
It is most gratifying for all in the Scoil Mhuire community that the DES recognises the efforts made by Scoil Mhuire to create a safe and caring environment in which our students thrive in so many ways.
Throughout the years our students consistently exceed national standards. The vast majority of students progress to third level courses every year. Many of our students have been immensely successful in many fields of learning at home and abroad and have been awarded scholarships to various third level institutions.
Our highly motivated, talented, dedicated and committed staff, a mix of young and more experienced teachers, ensure that our students experience the highest standards of teaching and learning. All staff share the vision for the school as a centre of academic excellence within a truly Christian Community, where Christian values are transmitted.
