Let’s Get Physical

TY students completed the Foundation level GAA Coaching course and organised a first year Football internal blitz.

Handball is now being coached at lunchtimes in Scoil Mhuire. Colin Healy, Daragh Healy Fitzgerald and Jade Healy are doing this as part of their Gaisce Award.

As part of Leaving Cert PE, Leaving Cert students make a PE video. The class of 2017/2018 entitles their video “Scoil Mhuire’s got talent!”

 

An Arts Festival To Be Proud Of

Well done to Samantha O’Dea who won the TY category at the Kanturk Arts Festival. Highly commended were Paula Lisauskaite, Sophie O’Callaghan, Clodagh O’Keeffe, Michelle O’Keeffe, Maoilíosa O’Brien and Hayley Buckley

Sky Sports Living for Sport

Thanks to Lorcán McLoughlin and Sky Sports for a great presentation and activity session with our TY group as part of Sky Sports Living for Sport. A number of TY students have prepared a project “Scoil Mhuire’s Fittest Family” where they have been training Junior students in the build up to their final event in April.
