Volunteerism is an integral part of our school community, with both students and staff actively participating in numerous fundraising initiatives throughout the school year. These initiatives encompass a wide range of activities, including non-uniform days, backpacks, bake sales, and quizzes. Through these efforts, our school fosters a sense of unity and collective responsibility, instilling in students the importance of giving back to their community.
Scoil Mhuire has proudly fundraised for several notable charities, including Cliona's Foundation, the HOPE Foundation, the Irish Cancer Society, Saint Vincent de Paul, the Alzheimer Society, Diabetes Ireland and Parkinson's Ireland.
Over the past few years, students and staff from Scoil Mhuire have embarked on journeys with charitable organisations such as Cliona's Foundation and the HOPE Foundation. Transition year students have completed aspects of the Camino de Santiago with Cliona's Foundation, while raising vital funds for families facing financial hardships due to a child's illness. Additionally, they have travelled to Kolkata with the HOPE Foundation, immersing themselves in the local community and contributing to projects aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged children and families.
From raising awareness to generating funds, our collective efforts reflect our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others, both locally and nationally.
