Excellent Leaving and Junior Certificate Results 2018

Leaving Certificate Results

On August 15th students from the class of 2018 returned to Scoil Mhuire to receive their Leaving Certificate results. Our students once again continued our proud tradition of producing outstanding results. Students were graded under the new system, H1 – H8 at higher level and O1 – O8 at ordinary level.

These results ensure that students continued in further education with the majority of students securing their course of choice. Students this year received results in an impressive range of 24 subjects as well as LCVP. Over 40% of students took the higher level maths examination with all securing the bonus 25 points. 26% of Scoil Mhuire students secured in excess of 500 points, substantially better the national figure of 11%.

The percentage of students who gained more than 400 points stands at almost 55% while 80% of students achieved over 350 points. Congratulations and well done to students, parents and teachers on this remarkable achievement.

Junior Certificate Results

Congratulations to our Junior Certificate Students who received their results on Wednesday 12th September. The class of 2018 produced an excellent set of results with ‘A’ grades recorded across a full range of higher level subjects.

An analysis of results showed 72% of papers were taken at higher level by students and the rate of A, B and C grades achieved exceeded the national figures throughout the curriculum, with many subjects scoring 100% success. A total of 15 subjects were taken by students.

A particular word of praise goes to Jogaile Aidukevicciute who scored an impressive 10 ‘A’ grades as well as atop grade in English. Well done to students, their parents and teachers on these fine achievements.
